Ravattula Ristimäki
The remains of the oldest known church in Finland are located in northern Kaarina, in the Ristimäki area in the village of Ravattula along the river Aurajoki. The stone footing of an early medieval church was discovered by archaeologists during an excavation in 2013. The church is assumed to have been in use from the late 1100s to the early 1200s.
